Comprehensive programs designed to empower youth and transform communities.
Every Child Every Day in School Initiative
This is a flagship education and child protection program aimed at ensuring that no child is left behind in education. The initiative focuses on identifying, re-enrolling, and supporting out-of-school children to return to school and remain in education.
Key Barriers Addressed:
- School dropout and absenteeism
- Lack of school materials and basic learning needs
- Child abuse and neglect
- Early marriages and vulnerability risks
Impact Story: Rafique Chiphwanya
Rafique had been out of school for three years and had lost hope of continuing his education. Through the intervention of this initiative, he was successfully re-enrolled back into school. Despite his long absence from learning, Rafique demonstrated strong determination and commitment. By the end of the term, he achieved position 4 out of 73 students in his class.
This transformation highlights a key belief: with timely support and opportunity, every child can recover, thrive, and succeed.
Child Protection Program
EYO implements community-based child protection interventions aimed at safeguarding children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harmful cultural practices such as early marriage.
Program Components:
- Counselling and psychosocial support
- Community and family engagement
- Collaboration with police and local leaders
- School reintegration support
Impact Story
A 14-year-old girl who had dropped out of school due to abuse and neglect was later forced into marriage. She was identified through the organization's child protection system and supported through a coordinated response. Following these interventions, the child was safely returned to school and is now actively participating in class. She has regained confidence and serves as a source of encouragement to other vulnerable children.
