Our Commitment
EPIC Youth Organization is committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for all children and young people who participate in our programs. We have zero tolerance for any form of abuse, exploitation, or harassment.
Policy Principles
- The welfare of the child is paramount
- All children have equal rights to protection regardless of age, gender, religion, or background
- All staff and volunteers have a responsibility to report concerns
- Confidentiality will be maintained appropriately
- We work in partnership with parents, schools, and authorities
Code of Conduct
All staff, volunteers, and partners must adhere to the following code of conduct:
- Treat all children with respect and dignity
- Never use physical punishment or verbal abuse
- Never engage in sexual relationships with children
- Never be alone with a child in an unsupervised setting
- Report any concerns immediately
- Complete mandatory safeguarding training annually

We have confidential reporting channels available for children, parents, staff, and community members:

Police Partnership
We work closely with the South Lunzu Police Victim Support Unit to ensure all cases are properly handled and victims receive appropriate support, including immediate response, victim support, legal assistance, and medical referrals.
Safe Recruitment
All staff and volunteers undergo a rigorous recruitment process including police background checks, reference checks, interview and assessment, and safeguarding policy acknowledgment.
